Plan | Description |
---|---|
HMO — Signature Value Advantage Plan and Signature Value Plan Administered by: UnitedHealthcare | A Health Maintenance Organization plan with coverage for in-network care coordinated by your primary care provider. The Getty offers two HMO plans through UnitedHealthcare: the Signature Value Advantage Plan and the Signature Value Plan. |
Aetna HDHP/PPO Plan Administered by: Aetna | The Aetna plan is a high-deductible health plan that puts you in charge of your spending with a higher deductible and the option to enroll in a tax-free Health Savings Account (HSA). The plan offers cost sharing after you meet the plan deductible, and has a Preferred Provider Organization network. There are two separate deductibles, one for in-network services and one for out-of-network services. Both deductibles will need to be met whether you utilize an in-network or out-of-network provider. This means that if you meet the deductible with an in-network provider, and then decide to see someone outside the network, the deductible will start over for out-of-network services. |

When you enroll in one of the Getty’s medical plans, you automatically receive prescription drug benefits through your medical plan.
The cost of your prescription drugs depends on the tier of the medication:
- Generic — Contain the same active ingredients as their brand-name equivalents and meet the same federal standards for safety, but typically cost significantly less.
- Brand-Name Formulary — Prescription medications which are included in the formulary at a higher cost than generic.
- Non-Formulary — Prescription medications not on a prescription plan's formulary may be covered but at the highest cost to you.
Mail order
For ongoing maintenance medication, you can take advantage of the convenience and cost savings of using the mail order program.
Why use mail order:
- Prescriptions are shipped to you for free — no waiting in line at the pharmacy.
- You save money with a reduced cost for a three-month supply.
- You can set up automatic refills.

Aetna Resources
- Aetna Doctor Search: Locate a doctor or facility through Aetna’s DocFind® Online Directory. DocFind is updated six times a week — however, whether a specific physician or group is accepting new patients cannot be guaranteed. To locate in-network providers, go to the Aetna directory of health care professionals. Select your Provider Type, e.g., Doctors (Primary Care), Behavioral Health Professionals, and enter the geographic area. Go to Aetna Open Access Plans® and select Aetna Open Choice POS II (Open Access).
- Aetna Navigator: Aetna members get tools and resources to help you manage your health and benefits. All of your health benefits, health insurance plan information and cost-savings tools are in one place — your Aetna Navigator member website. When you sign up and use it, you’re not just a member, you’re a navigator.
- Member Payment Estimator: The estimator tool lets you compare costs for up to ten network doctors or facilities at one time. You can even get estimates for services from doctors who are not in the network. Choose a medical service and enter a ZIP code. You’ll see the average charge. Understanding what doctors and facilities charge for the same service, in the same geographic area, can help you save and still find quality care. Register or log in at the Aetna website.
- Mobile App: It’s great to know you can use your cell phone with web access to view your health plan information — whenever you want, wherever you are, with Aetna Mobile. The Aetna Mobile app is available for iPhone® and AndroidTM mobile devices. Use a different smartphone or mobile device? Instead of loading an app, just visit Aetna, and use the mobile web version of the site.
- Urgent Care/Walk-in Clinics: If you have an urgent, but non-life-threatening medical issue your local urgent care center may be an effective treatment option and an affordable and more convenient alternative to the ER. Many urgent care centers are open seven days a week — even nights, weekends and holidays — with no appointment necessary. With over 3,000 of these centers to choose from, you’re sure to find one near you.
Get familiar with the urgent care and walk-in clinics in your neighborhood before you need them. Here’s how:
- Visit Aetna.
- Click on “Find a Doctor.”
- Select “Urgent Care Facilities” or “Walk-In Clinics.”
If your medical need is more than urgent — for example, characterized by chest pain, trouble breathing, bad bleeding or other symptoms that are serious or put your life at risk — you should go straight to your local ER.
