Welcome!
We’re excited to have you become part of the Getty team. You’re joining a diverse group of individuals who are all dedicated to a common goal ― the presentation, conservation, and interpretation of the world’s artistic legacy.
1. Staff Handbook
Please review the policies, procedures and benefits described in the Employee Staff Handbook. You will be given an opportunity to ask questions about the policies and be asked to affirm that you have received, read and understand the policies contained in the Handbook.
2. New Hire Paperwork
You will receive email communication from our Human Resources team with all your new hire paperwork. We encourage you to start working on your new hire forms as soon as possible. Reach out to your HR Coordinator with any questions you may have.
All paperwork is required to be completed on or before your first day of employment, unless otherwise noted. Failure to do so in a timely matter may cause delays in your start date, benefit eligibility, access to Getty systems and other employment-related tasks.
Once your employment forms are completed and signed, please upload them for review, using the secure link provided to you by your HR Coordinator. Our Human Resources team will follow up with you regarding any additional, or missing information to complete your hiring process.
3. New Employee Orientation (NEO)
Our New Employee Orientation is an important part to the start of your relationship with the Getty. As a new employee, you will be scheduled to participate in our in-person NEO on your first day of employment. This will include an introduction to Getty, as well as essential information about employee benefits, safety and security, and available online resources.
You will be receiving details from our Human Resources team in your ‘Welcome to Getty!’ message sent to your personal email address. NEO will require your participation from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm on your first day.
We look forward to seeing you!
4. Benefit Summary and Elections
Most positions - working 30 hours or more per week - are eligible for benefits effective on your first day of employment. To help you decide which benefits may be right for you, please review the Getty Benefits Overview document. During your remote orientation, you will also be presented with an overview of the benefits and programs available. To view detailed documents concerning the benefit plans, employee costs, etc., please visit the Resources/Documents page.
As a new benefits-eligible employee, you will need to enroll within the first 31 days of your employment. You will make your benefit elections through Employee Self Service (ESS). During your second week of employment, you will be provided time by your department to log-in to ESS to enroll in benefits, and an HR representative will be available during that time should you have any questions or need assistance with enrolling.
