Overview
The Getty is committed to maintaining a culture of community service among Getty employees. This is done by creating a sense of kinship within the Getty and by giving back to the greater Los Angeles community as well as other arts and cultural organizations.
Community Service
Volunteering
The Getty’s Community Service Team — a volunteer team which is open to all — plans regular projects throughout the year which offer staff an opportunity to get involved. Employees may also share their ideas for a new project, for which the Community Service Team will advise on how the Getty can provide support. If you are interested in additional volunteer activities outside the Getty, the Community Service Team can guide you to organizations in need of volunteer assistance.
Two such opportunities to get involved are our Annual Day of Service, when we work in groups spread throughout the area to assist local organizations, and our biennial Getty Underground which showcases the artistic talents of those in the Getty community.
More information may be found on Getty Online (the Getty’s Intranet site).
Employee Matching Gift Program
As part of the Trust’s charitable mission, the Getty will match dollar-for-dollar your contributions to an eligible charity. You can obtain an Employee Matching Gift Form on Getty Online (the Getty’s Intranet site) under Grants Administration in The Getty Foundation.
